Tea Time

Recently, I’ve been experiencing a lot more screen time. I’ve been working from home for over a month now, and I have sometimes found myself feeling restless and defeated from the constant self-made checklist of work that needs to be done (to which I am always adding more). I’ve been feeling the need to add something relaxing to my day during those times when I feel most buried in my work. It’s time to take control by doing something proactive and restorative; a small aside from work, to bring myself back into the present moment.

Today I started a ritual of afternoon tea, which I intend to do every work day around 4 pm. My objective is to use this time disconnect for a short while, relearn a bit of mindfulness I feel I have been neglecting, remind myself that life is not a checklist, and simply enjoy some tea. If you have been feeling similarly, why not have some tea time yourself?
