Christmas was in full swing at Trellis Marketplace yesterday! For our Christmas in July event, we were so lucky to have lots of free snow cones for our wonderful customers, lots of holiday decor, children’s goodie bags, a painted ornament craft with Sue from Streetside Treasures, and lovely book readings in our courtyard with local author, Teresa Yost!

“Santa’s Boots” by Teresa Yost is a Christmas book based on her own experience as a child. As children and their families gathered on the blankets in the grass next to the wildflower garden in the courtyard, Teresa engaged them with an entertaining story time, complete with audience participation!

After the book reading, Teresa taught the audience sign language for a portion of the book! We love this inclusive and fun addition. Our participants enjoyed it as well! To finish off story time, Teresa brought an extra surprise: the very boots from the story!
