Missy Weaver, born and raised in Lancaster County, is a third generation Roots Country Market vendor! We are so giddy to have Missy on board at Trellis Marketplace, stitching together locally grown catnip mats and toys for your feline friend. We asked Missy to tell us a little bit more about herself and her craft!

“My mom started making catnip toys/products 38 years ago. Then in 2019 I had the opportunity to take over the catnip empire creating "The Catnip Lady" business to help focus attention on the product line. I enjoy setting up at local craft shows and meeting new pet owners that are looking for locally made toys for their kitties. I work mostly with cotton fabrics, sewing and creating the product line out of my dining room turned into the catnip kingdom.”

Jenn and Chad Knepper started their LLC formally in the spring of 2018 after Chad had been practicing beekeeping for close to 10 years and Jenn had been making beeswax blends (lip balm and various salves and ointments) using beeswax from their beehives to make high quality blends in addition to their local raw honey. In addition to the honey and beeswax blends, they also put together themed gift boxes/bags/totes in a variety of styles with the ultimate goal of connecting consumers to ethically and responsibly sourced products made by workers who earn a fair wage for their labor.

From Jenn and Chad of Chestnut Ridge Honey: “Our goal is to help make good purchases easy choices when it comes to shopping for gifts. We aim to specialize in thoughtful items to give during difficult times such as a new cancer diagnosis, a death, mental health challenges and more.”

Meg’s roots started with dried herbal blends, teas, bath salts, and elderberry syrups which she keeps her shop space stocked up with. Meg also provides her shop space with beautiful crystals, tarot cards, jewelry, and amazing vintage finds. This gal has an amazing eye for all things unique and beautiful. Susan Zeager is a veteran shop keeper, having a successful long-standing business, Brandt’s Farm Supply, here in Central PA. She opened another successful shop, Whippoorwill, in 2015 and was located on the square in Elizabethtown but made the move with us to Trellis where she occupies the entire lower level. Her knack of selection for gift items is amazing and carries every gift item imaginable, all expertly displayed. They believe that beauty and excellence should be found in the everyday corners of our lives.

In addition to their buying selections, they also partner with local artists, producers of small-batch finely crafted products, and tried and true companies like J.R. Watkins.
