This year felt like it was some BS, I can tell you that much! As I reflect on this past year, it is hard to ignore how put-through-the-ringer I feel as 2021 comes to a close. A lot of folks that I have connected with are sharing in similar feelings.
It has been near impossible and super stressful to deal with limited resources including time, energy, when all of the demands remain so high. It really felt like this year just did not let up at all.
The original vision for Trellis Marketplace has kept me tethered through the storm of the pandemic and some of it’s lasting negative effects. My mother was someone who just wanted peace in their home, and the freedom to express it in a beautiful and easy way.
My mom and her business partner started Trellis Marketplace to ensure that the local shoppers could have access to purchase the best curated, most unique, and beautiful home decor, art, vintage, and gifts. Also, so that talented artisans may have a chance to sell their items and create revenue to fund their creative passions, all at reasonable costs.
Collaboration has always been at the core of what we do here at Trellis Marketplace and I want to thank all of my amazing vendors and partners for being outstanding collaborators with our marketplace, and for helping keep our vision sharp. My mom wanted it to be easy to find peace in her home and in her community through art/ curation and creative business expression. I intend to carry on her vision and continue to translate peace through style, curation, community, and craftsmanship in our retail space. Despite the madness of the past years, we demand to be an extension of peace and creativity in this hyper evolving world, each and every day! I look forward to seeing what 2022 has in store for us all.
See you next year!
