Reviewing 2021…

This year felt like it was some BS, I can tell you that much! As I reflect on this past year, it is hard to ignore how put-through-the-ringer I feel as 2021 comes to a close. A lot of folks that I have connected with are sharing in similar feelings.

It has been near impossible and super stressful to deal with limited resources including time, energy, when all of the demands remain so high. It really felt like this year just did not let up at all.

The original vision for Trellis Marketplace has kept me tethered through the storm of the pandemic and some of it’s lasting negative effects. My mother was someone who just wanted peace in their home, and the freedom to express it in a beautiful and easy way.

My mom and her business partner started Trellis Marketplace to ensure that the local shoppers could have access to purchase the best curated, most unique, and beautiful home decor, art, vintage, and gifts. Also, so that talented artisans may have a chance to sell their items and create revenue to fund their creative passions, all at reasonable costs.

Handcrafted mugs by mothers who want to send their children to school! Found in our Trade Faire area of the shop.

Collaboration has always been at the core of what we do here at Trellis Marketplace and I want to thank all of my amazing vendors and partners for being outstanding collaborators with our marketplace, and for helping keep our vision sharp. My mom wanted it to be easy to find peace in her home and in her community through art/ curation and creative business expression. I intend to carry on her vision and continue to translate peace through style, curation, community, and craftsmanship in our retail space. Despite the madness of the past years, we demand to be an extension of peace and creativity in this hyper evolving world, each and every day! I look forward to seeing what 2022 has in store for us all.

See you next year!

Winter Open House Weekend

Working with many artisans, makers, and curators, it is helpful to have a very clear launch to the season.

“Why not welcome the holidays with a three day event extravaganza?!” is what we thought while preparing for our Winter Open House Weekend!

The holiday shopping season is always the most intense for small business owners, makers, and creative hustlers of any kind. This year has been especially wild with the high demand of most goods.

We wanted to BRING IT! Free gifts, giveaways, the cutest ‘lil coffee cart in the world, and NEW VENDORS are just a few of the amazing details for this weekend. My Peruvian Treasures, Sarcasm and Sunshine Designs Co., and The Cozy Creator joined our marketplace just in the nick of time for our grand event!

Friday and Saturday morning the scent of Hitch Coffee filled the air. Supplying delicious artisan coffee drinks, these professional baristas mean business! Their presence was amazing and was a huge saving-grace for this event.

Donald and Jillian, passionate about great coffee, recently began their coffee truck journey. We quickly fell in love with their business and were thrilled when they wanted to post up outside for the Winter Open House weekend. We loved being able to sip on something good alllll day long, especially with it being a bit drizzly and dreary. “We know what it’s like, smelling that aroma of freshly brewed beans. It may take you back to a memory or make you jump for joy. We’re here for it either way!” - Jill Leipert

We enjoy event weekends for numerous reasons, the biggest being able to nurture old and new relationships.

Running large events gives us many opportunities to share with other makers and creators.

Gallery Wall Artist

Designs by Allie Reilly takes over our gallery wall!

We love Allie’s punch that she brings to our marketplace. We believe in allowing freedom of speech and expression and we are always encouraging artisans to elevate themselves in our collaborative space. Her work is a different pace and we like that. Allie is our featured artisan for many reasons, but especially for her ability to bring a smile to the face of so many different types of customers is pure magic!

Now that the holiday season is in full swing, come cross some items off that gift list by shopping with our local makers.

Trends start at Trellis Marketplace!
